At Mostad, we are committed to doing what we can to preserve and protect our most precious natural resources. Located on the incredibly beautiful west coast, we are reminded every time we look out the window at the natural beauty around us and understand the responsibility we have to ensure that future generations get the same opportunity to breathe clean air, drink clean water, and appreciate the great outdoors like we can today.

When the decision was made in the early 1990’s to evolve from a cold-set newspaper-based printer into a heat-set insert/flyer printer, we chose then to install highly efficient pollution control equipment so as to minimize our environmental impact. Yes is was more expensive than what was required at the time, and yes it was extremely forward-thinking as well. Over the years this has meant that Mostad has, year after year, emitted 75% fewer VOC’s into the environment than what is regulated.

The numbers below represent the environmental impact of using just one grade of recycled paper over a 12 month period:

• 1,446 fully grown trees
• 1,516 million BTU’s of energy
• 129,410 lbs of solid waste
• 389,190 lbs of greenhouse gases
• 604,111 gallons of water
